The Countdown Continues....

Four more days until A Cry For Hope! I'm feeling like a kid who still believes in Santa Claus at Christmas. I seriously cannot wait to share this story with all of you! From the day that I began writing this book five months ago I dreamed about the day that it would finally be in the hands of everyone else to read.

So, the fact that it's Monday morning and the start of a new work week doesn't even bother me because I know that means I'm one day closer to putting my book into your hands!!

If you haven't already please RSVP and celebrate on Friday....lots of fun, games and prizes!

A Cry For Hope Release Day Party

March Is Going To Be Exciting!!

Well, we made through the two worst months of the year (in my opinion). So, now we can start looking forward to spring....I hope! Even if the weatherman says that spring isn't in the air just yet.....there's still other exciting things going on this months in my fictional world:

March 7th is An Unplanned Lesson's 1st birthday. Can you believe that Dailan O'Maley has only been around for a year? It seems like we've known him forever. Keep your eyes peeled for a little giveaway to help Dailan and Nicole celebrate their day!

March 14th I will be releasing A Cry For Hope and I cannot wait! I am so happy with the feedback that I have been receiving from the advanced readers so far. I know it sounds mean but....I love to make people cry while reading my books. To celebrate the release of A Cry for Hope there will also be a release party. Dress is VERY CASUAL, you can drink as much as you want and don't have to worry about driving and did I mention....lots of great games, giveaways and prizes! You can RSVP here: CLICK HERE AND SAY YOU WILL COME

I'll even bring the music.....check out the playlist that I put together for A Cry For Hope. Yes, I'm patting my computer challenged self on the back for figuring this out: A Cry For Hope Playlist

Hope all of you enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Pity Party for One

Don't mind me....just having one of those days were I feel like I have to write it all out. Maybe it's:

a) the weather
b) I'm seeing all of these other books coming out that look so great
c) I just need a vacation to a nice warm, tropical place with crystal blue water.....yeah, I think that's it!

So why do you ask am I having this pity party? Well, because of letter A I have been cooped up in the house and instead of turning into Jack Nicholson's character in The Shining. I've been focusing on writing. To tell you that I am completely in love with the story that I'm writing at the moment doesn't even begin to describe my feelings. I know, I know.....I say that with every book that I'm writing but what kind of author would I be if I didn't fall completely in love with my characters and feel all of their ups an downs? So, I'm almost 3/4 of the way done with my 6th novel.....I should be happy right? Well, here's were the problem lies. I want to share this book (and all my books) with each and every reader out there. But with there being so many awesome books out there.....it kind of makes it hard to not get lost in the shuffle.

So, here is what I'm going to do....focus on the positive! I will continue to write because I LOVE to, not because I want to become rich and famous (but that would be nice). I have quite a few loyal readers out there.....you know who you are. As long as you guys keep reading them and enjoying them....I will keep writing them for you....I may slow down a bit but I won't quit! So I'm going to follow my own and advice:

"Write with your heart as if no one else will ever read your story. Don't worry about  how many books you will sell or becoming rich overnight. A book that is written from deep within your soul is  more valuable than any bestseller out there"

Okay, I feel better now! Sometimes writing it all out does help! And the fact that in just a few short weeks (maybe sooner) I will be able to share A Cry For Hope with all of you. Are you planning on coming to the release day party? I hope so!! RSVP HERE. Everyone is invited.....there will lots of fun, games and giveaways....BYOB!

Ps. The book that I am working on now is a companion novel to A Cry For Hope. Check it out on Goodreads here and add it to your TBR list: A Will To Change

TGIF....

You know the saying....Thank God it's Friday! Really, Thank God! This feels like it has been the longest week ever! But it's been a pretty good one.....An Unplanned Lesson made it into the top 100 of  New Adult books on Amazon, so I'm really happy about that. More people are getting to know Dailan & Nicole and hopefully falling in love with them.

A Cry For Hope will be releasing in a little over a month. I cannot wait to share this story with all of you. Make sure you join the release party, it will be lots of fun! Games, giveaways and a lot more. Feel free to invite a friend as well:

I've made a lot of progress with my current WIP. I'm actually 3/4 of the way done and loving this story so much! Still trying to figure out the "perfect ending" for these characters and one that will make my readers say, "Aww!"  I normally have my epilogue done before I even start writing the book (I know I'm a little backwards) but that helps to keep me focused in the direction that I want to go with the story. With this one I don't....but I'm sure it will come to me when I least expect it.

And lastly, today is the last day to get An Unplanned Lesson for .99 cents. So, if you haven't read it grab it while you can:

Here's a little Dailan and Nicole to get you through your Friday! Hope you have a good one!

Another good day of writing.....I hope!

Well, it's snowing AGAIN....not that I'm complaining because all of this extra time inside gives me lots of time to do what I enjoy most....WRITE! I just hit the 50k words in my current WIP over the weekend and will be posting the synopsis on Goodreads very soon! It will be a spinoff/companion book to A Cry for Hope but you won't have to read A Cry For Hope (but I hope you still do) first to understand it. Just wanted to make that clear to all of you cliffhanger hater's A Cry for Hope does not end on a cliffhanger.

In other news....

For those of you that haven't met Dailan and Nicole yet, An Unplanned Lesson, the first book in the Unplanned series is on sale for .99 cents. I even extended this sale to itunes as well. Although the price change has not reflected yet.

Also, over the weekend my technically challenged self created a website. It's not much but it's a start:

Well  I'm  going to try and get back to writing as the snow falls down outside my window. Hope everyone is staying warm or maybe you're one of the lucky ones that has warm weather and sunshine today.....wish I was there!!

A Cry For Hope ~ Cover Reveal, Giveaway and Book Trailer....Oh My!

It's Cover reveal day for my fifth (yikes!) book A Cry for Hope. I want to thank Kari from Cover to Cover designs for putting this beautiful cover together, she did an awesome job and is a true professional to work with. I would also like to thank Mandi from MHPhotography for the beautiful photos even though she made it very difficult for me to choose just one for the cover, they were all so amazing!  And last but not least, Randi Melendez, the beautiful model on the cover who conveyed so much emotion, exactly the way that I envisioned Hope to be!

So, without further ado here it is, the book cover for A Cry For Hope:

“Look at me, Jamie!  Look at me and tell me that you’re willing to walk away from everything we have and I’ll be gone. I’m not ready to give up on us but if you are, then just say the words and I’ll stop trying.”
“Hope, stop it!”
“Stop what? Stop trying? Stop trying to have the man that I love more than anything in this world love me back? Stop trying to make myself feel worthy of your love again? What do you want me to stop Jamie?”
“What do you want me to say Hope? That everything’s going to be okay? That things are going to be the way they used to between us because I don’t know if that’s ever going to happen. Or do you want me to take you upstairs and fuck you like a stranger, the same way I’ve been for the past eight months?”
“I don’t know what I want any more Jamie. I miss my husband. The man that I could tell anything to. The one that I used to laugh and cry with. The one who would hold me in his arms and comfort me whenever I was feeling down.”
“He’s gone Hope. He drowned in that ocean the same day that Charlie did.”
I bit my lip and fought the tears. “So what are you trying to tell me that I’m just keeping myself afloat in this marriage only to have you never resurface?”
His eyes filled with tears. “I wish that I could answer that question for you but I can’t. Because the truth is, I don’t even know the answer to it myself.”
I grabbed a napkin from the counter and wiped my eyes. I tried to catch my breath between my sobs and gain enough composure to speak coherently. “I’m sorry for taking my eyes off him for that split second that day. I didn’t mean for it to happen. I loved him too and I’m hurting just as much as you. And if it makes you feel a little better by punishing me for it this way, then I’m willing to subject myself to it, because I still love you so much that it hurts.”

And finally.....the giveaway!!
