Happy New Years Eve!!

Hi everyone! Hard to believe that another year has come and gone.  Is it me, or does anyone else feel the older we get the faster time seems to be going by?  I usually get so sad when Christmas is over, nothing to look forward to but the doldrums of winter!  This year it's not bothering me as much, got lots of things to keep my mind occupied, I guess!

So does anyone have any fun and exciting plans for New Years? I don't, so I will live vicariously through you guys!  I decided this year instead of having New Year resolutions, I'm going to make New Year promises to myself, maybe that will be a little easier to keep them!

I hope you all have a very happy, healthy and safe New Year no matter what your plans, I've included a little "New Years" excerpt from my book.  Hope you enjoy!

"Tomorrow was New Year’s Eve and while everyone else would be getting all dressed up and going out looking forward to a fresh new year, I would be sitting here reflecting on this one, wishing that I could go back and change it. I thought about previous New Years’, when I was younger. My mom and dad would never go out; instead we would always have our own little party with lots of junk food that I wasn't normally allowed to eat. The best part was being able to stay up way past my bedtime to watch the ball drop. I smiled, thinking that all of those happy memories occurred right here in this same living room I was sitting in right now, but such a long time ago. Things were definitely different now. I was all that was left of those cherished New Year’s Eve parties and it scared me being all alone."

What Goes Up Must Come Down!

Sitting here drinking my coffee on this cold winter morning, waiting for the snow to arrive.  I can't help but think, today would be the perfect day to tackle the #1 dreaded holiday chore - taking down the Christmas tree! I think I would rather scrub all of my floors on my hands and knees with a tooth brush!

It's funny how the Christmas tree seems so magical before Christmas and then as soon as it's over it's an eyesore.  Just a reminder of another task that needs to be done - why is that? So I propose this, how but leave it up all year round and decorate it according to season.  Hearts for Valentines day, pretty pastel flowers for spring, seashells for summer - well you get it, right?  Think I could start a new tradition?  Me neither!  So, without further procrastination I must sign off and get myself moving on this mundane task - okay maybe after one more cup of coffee!

Goodbye pretty tree, see you next year!

I THINK I MAY BE GETTING THIS SOCIAL NETWORKING THING AFTER ALL!

Hi everyone! I remember being younger and making fun of my parents for not being able to operate new found technology.  Back then it was the microwave or the VCR.  Well, you know what they say about karma - I felt a lot like my parents must have back in the day, trying to maneuver my way through this social networking maze. I have to save I am very impressed with my non-computer savvy skills that I have taught myself over these past few days of trying to get my book out there! Who would of thought that I would be able to create a blog all by myself! I'm loving Google + and I finally think I have the Twitter thing down (okay maybe with a little help from my teenage son).

Thanks so much for all the support and +1's that I have gotten regarding my new book from all of the Google + people out there, it really means a lot and goes a long way in spreading the word!  Hope you guys go on to twitter and follow me there, I feel so unloved only 3 followers and check out my Facebook page as well!

Oh wanted to share with you guys - my cutest fan out there:

Allow me to introduce myself....

Well, here goes nothing.....My very first blog post - yikes!  I just released my first novel and just wrapped up my second one! I've always had a vivid imagination.  I remember playing for hours with my mom's perfume bottles and pretending they were people - they would have the most interesting conversations!  No, I'm not crazy just creative, I love to think of storylines in my head and I finally thought of a really good one (well at least I thought it was and I hope my reader will too!) and typed it out and my baby has been born!

Still trying to think of a good idea for a book party - ideas? Anyone, Anyone?

Oh and here's a little about me - my life isn't as interesting as the story or the characters in it, but whose is? I was born and have lived in New Jersey my whole life. I'm a mom of twin teenage boys, a teenage step-son, a crazy border collie and a cat with an identity crisis.  I guess you can say writing is my calgon moment!  I'm married to a great guy - but we'll keep that between us - wouldn't want him to get a big head!  I would love you to become a Facebook fan as well   https://www.facebook.com/BethRinyu

So without further ado..... here is the link to my book!  If you do decide to read it (and I hope you do!) please review it on amazon for me - yes, even if you don't like it!
