Over the past week I have been receiving such beautiful messages about An Unplanned Lesson and An Unplanned Life. You guys have no clue how much it means to me to know that you love Dailan and Nicole as much as I do. I think my nicest compliment was from this reader:
"You really know how to write a character and make people love them, hate them and actually feel what they are going through."
That makes me happy because that is the main thing that I always strive for when writing my books. I know that if I can't get into a character when I'm reading a book (whether it be loving them, hating them, feeling sorry for them, wanting to kick their butt....etc...etc) then it takes away from the book, so that is why I feel so strongly about great character development - they can make or break a book.
Okay, now that I've rambled on let me get to the whole point of this blog post.....Many of you have asked me if there will be a book three in the Unplanned Series. And it pains me to say - really it does.....no. I really wish that there was more of Dailan and Nicole's story to give, but there just isn't. I think these two have been through enough and deserve their HEA forever.....don't you? Now, with that being said, that doesn't mean I'm not open to perhaps doing a book about some of the other characters in the book. Jonathan? A prequel of Dalian's brother and sister in law (yes, ladies you would possibly get a little Dailan in that one but not Nicole)? These are just idea's that I have in my head right now.
I will miss Dailan and Nicole just as much as you guys, but sit tight.....I'm creating a whole new cast of characters for you guys to fall in love with!
Here's a little scene from An Unplanned Life for you to revisit and put a smile on your face:

Just a quick hello....
Sorry that I have been M.I.A these past few days and not keeping up on my blog posts! Just wanted to drop in and let all of you know that I appreciate all of the kind e-mails, facebook messages and positive reviews that I've been getting about my latest novel An Unplanned Lesson. To say that I'm in total shock over the amount of downloads that it's getting is an understatement! I am so happy to finally be sharing Nicole and Dailan's romance with the rest of the world! I'm also noticing with some of the feedback that I'm receiving about Dailan O'Maley - either you love him or you hate him! Believe it or not, that makes me happy, because that is exactly what a set out to do when I created him. I personally LOVE him, but what kind of author would I be if I didn't love my own characters, even when they aren't on their best behavior! So if you haven't met him yet, get to know him and let me know what you think! If you have read met him and read my book, would you please mind leaving a review from wherever you may have purchased it ....I really appreciate it :)
Oh and if you are looking for the paperback version, I'm hoping that amazon will have the link up by the end of the week or you can purchase it from here:

Shaking it off and moving on....
Well, I knew it was going to happen eventually - someone out there was going to hate my book! I tried to brace myself as best I could for when that day happened and thought, "No sweat, I could handle that when it happens!" Well, yesterday it did, a stinkin' one star review on Amazon. And even though I thought I could handle it - it still felt like someone was beating up on my kid right in front of me.
So, after thinking about it all night long, I have come to the realization. Not everyone is going to like my book. Everyone has different tastes and prefers different writing styles. For this particular reviewer my book and writing style was not it. I asked her for an honest opinion and I got it! Although, I would have been a little bit more okay with that one star rating, had she at least finished the whole book (okay, maybe I wouldn't have).
I'm not going to let one bad review ruin all of the good ones and all the positive things that I hear from everyone on Facebook and Twitter! It was really strange that I happen to stumble across this blog out of nowhere yesterday and found this beautiful review written about my book....almost like someone knew that I needed a pick me up:

So, here's to a better day! Be sure to check out my Facebook Page for a teaser to my new novel An Unplanned Lesson and get to know Mr. Dailan O'Maley a little better! https://www.facebook.com/BethRinyu
